Better Late Than Never

I'm the worst at getting things done. If there's not a hard due date, it's not gonna happen for a while. Hence why I'm posting pictures of a trip to Jackson with some friends that happened like 3 months ago that Chelse got done a week after.
Another example, I started this post 3 days ago and have only written this much. Hah, anyway, here's the pics.

Story Time: Hairy Toe Breakdown

One time, when Trent and I were dating, we were just chillin in my apartment after a long day of work. It had been a rough week so my legs were unshaved, (as well as the rest of my body,) but I was wearing jeans so I threw my legs up on Trent's lap and didn't think another thought about it.

We were just chattin and then I noticed him inspecting my toes. Again, I didn't really think much about it because I had just gotten a pedicure and I have cute pudgy toes.

Side note: Trent doesn't get grossed out easily but he has to touch EVERYTHING! If we are in a store and something catches his eye, he HAS to touch it!

His eye caught my stubbly toe hair. Of course he was immediately drawn to it and had  to touch it. (Like Frodo to the ring.)

He then started lightly poking at my toe hair and said, "huh. I didn't know girls had toe hair."

I gasped a little and looked deep into his eyes with a look that could only be described as horror. This was the one thing I was going to hide from him in marriage! I never wanted him to know!! It's not like I had hobbit feet, just little stubbles that I took care of!!

Anyway, there was horror in my eyes. I felt my upper lip start to stiffen, my eyes started to burn.

And then the flood came.

"iiii jjj ussst am ss ss sssooo ugly! mm mm mmy toes are ss ss sssooo grosssss! i ii ii am hairy ll lli lliike a doooodddeeeee!!!!!
bbuuuuuuhhhaaaaahhhhhmmmmeeeeewaaaahhhhh!"

While Trent was sitting there absolutely stunned, my dear roommate Sasha walked in and saw me sobbing. Being the great friend she is she looked from me, to Trent, back to me and said to Trent,

"WHAT DID YOU DO?!?!?!?!!!!!"

I just looked up all sad and said, "h  hhee just dissscuvvveerred m m mm mmy.........*gasp*...mmm mmm mmmy, TOE HAIR!! aaahhhjfjneijoalksjeifljailejriljuuuuugggghhhhhhh"

Sash just kind of looked at me, then back to Trent, then back to me, and a hint of  a smile started creeping across her face. Trent started smirking too. Then I started giggling and laughing. Then they both hugged me and Sash just said, "oh honey...hehehe".

And that's how Trent discovered I occasionally have toe hair.

This started as a Facebook post but started getting a little too long. After some convo's with mi familia this past week, I just got a little introspective and then I was watching General Conference which amped up the instrospection like a lot....

Elder Nelson during the afternoon session said that we need "a little repentance and a lot of forgiveness". I dunno why this struck me so much. To me it made me think of progression, how we need to repent but in order to move on from things we need to forgive others and especially ourselves. I think this helps us just move on quick you know? So we don't dwell on the past and just let it go. That's really hard for me to do sometimes. My mind is constantly going and I am always analyzing everything I do, every interaction, every word I say and even the sentence structure. Maybe I just need a Xanex but also I just need to get better at moving on and not worrying so much about a past thing. Just get better moving forward right? Every week at church we get a chance for a clean slate during Sacrament. I think as we keep an open line of communication with Heavenly Father we get chances for clean slates even more than that. He is so ready to move on from the not so good stuff we do, so maybe we should get on board with that. I'm not saying that some things aren't serious, but I think they're easier to move on from than we think.

Well that's all! Trent just put in White Chicks and there's nothing better than a brainless movie to slow my mind down!
